Why Work with Fire Maple

Every organization is different. Explore the five areas where Fire Maple most often partners with organizations to turn strategy into action.

Successful transformation requires more than technology. It requires understanding how business strategy, people, processes, and technology work together to move an organization forward.

That's the perspective I bring to every engagement.

It comes from more than 30 years of leading transformation from multiple sides of the business. Before moving into technology, I spent the first half of my career leading sales, marketing, operations, and business teams. That experience shaped the way I approach every technology decision today. Technology should enable the business, not the other way around.

"IT sits at the intersection of the business. When organizations harness that perspective, technology becomes a catalyst for transformation, not just a support function."

IT is one of the few places in an organization that truly partners with every department, every process, every strategic priority, and every person. It sits at the intersection of the business, providing a perspective that few other functions have. From that vantage point, you see how decisions connect, where processes break down, and where opportunities exist to bring people, processes, and technology together in better ways.

Having the opportunity to lead and work across every major IT function before leading enterprise technology organizations gave me the breadth and depth to appreciate that perspective. It's one thing to understand how each function works independently. It's another to understand how they connect.

It also revealed a pattern I saw over and over again. Organizations rarely struggle because they lack strategy. More often, they struggle because strategy stalls somewhere between the boardroom and the people responsible for bringing it to life.

That's what led me to build Strategic Change Offices, bringing together governance, change leadership, communication, and PMOs into a single approach focused on execution. The goal wasn't simply to manage projects. It was to create the organizational capabilities that help organizations turn strategy into results.

One lesson has remained constant throughout my career: the best solutions emerge when you can connect people, processes, technology, and ideas that others see as separate. That's where meaningful transformation happens, and it's the approach behind every Fire Maple engagement.

There isn't a playbook that works for every organization, and I wouldn't pretend there is. Every company has different priorities, different challenges, and different cultures. That's why every engagement is tailored to your business, your goals, and where you are in your transformation journey.
